Running a homestead shop means keeping records straight. Below is what we collect when you order a feed bin, ask about a brooder plate, or send a photo of a coop gap you want to seal, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Name, delivery address, phone number and email from the cart checkout, plus any message you type into a flock question. For bulky items such as 50 kg feed bins or a galvanised laying nest bank, the courier also needs a working contact number for the drop day.
Our hosting and analytics tools log browser type, device, approximate region and the pages you open, so we can see which coop plans and product pages actually get read. Cookies keep your cart intact between visits. You can block or clear them in your browser settings, though the cart may then reset.
To confirm orders, arrange delivery to smallstand and farm werf addresses, answer flock questions, handle returns on faulty hinges or damaged drinkers, and keep basic sales records. We do not sell your details, and we do not use them for unrelated advertising.
Only the services that make the shop work: our hosting provider, the courier delivering your parcel, the email and form tools that carry your message, and analytics. They process data on our instruction and are not allowed to use it for their own purposes.
Order and delivery records are kept for the period required for tax and warranty purposes. Flock questions and their replies are kept while they are useful for follow-up, then removed. Analytics data is retained in aggregate form.
You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, request corrections, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent for analytics and marketing messages at any time. Where GDPR or CCPA applies to you, those rights are honoured on the same terms. Send the request from the email address you used to order.
Write to us with the subject line "Privacy request" and tell us what you need: a copy, a correction, or deletion. We reply from a real desk, not an automated queue.
