Confirm requestA few things are worth spelling out, because a backyard order is rarely just one box. What follows is how we treat quantities, kits, stock and delivery on this page, so there are no surprises when the bakkie pulls up.
A feeder or drinker line shows the number of units in the basket. One 5 kg hanging feeder usually covers around ten to twelve layers, so two units is a normal order for a smallstand flock. Adjust the number in the basket rather than adding a second line of the same item.
The first-hen starter kit groups a feeder, a drinker, a bag of wood shavings, poultry grit and a short care sheet. It is meant for keepers setting up a first coop, so the contents do not change and single items inside it cannot be swapped out. If you already own some of it, order those pieces on their own instead.
The 50 kg feed bin and bulk shavings are listed as separate cart lines because they travel on their own pallet. Mixing them with small hardware in one line makes the load harder to handle, so keep them apart and we will pack accordingly.
These are seasonal items and stock moves quickly from late winter into spring. A cart line reserves the item only once the order is confirmed, so a basket left open overnight may need a stock check before it is packed.
Mesh and shade cloth are cut to the lengths shown in the cart. If you need a longer run covered, add extra units rather than assuming offcuts will be included. Fitting notes for mongoose and caracal gaps come with the hardware kit.
Orders go out to Gauteng, the Free State and the Cape. Addresses outside those areas are quoted case by case, and remote farm werf drops may take an extra day. If a line cannot be sourced in time, we contact you before removing it from the order.
